Story

You’ve awoken from what feels like the deepest sleep of your life. You feel ice cold as you exit the strange bed you were sleeping on. The room is dark with no light sources besides a flashing red light behind you. As you turn and look at the bed, it looks to be a pod of some kind. A red flashing display on the front reads “defrost complete”. Still feeling wobbly from your slumber, you attempt to find your way through the darkness. Suddenly, you are blinded with white light, as ceiling lights spring to life above you. Still dazed as your eyes are forced to adjust to the room around you, you hear a robotic voice from presumably a speaker above. “Good Morning, Tenant 0451. Glory to-” The voice suddenly cuts off with a loud electrical buzz. Eyes finally adjusted to the light, you see that you are in a small dorm room of some kind. The room is furnished with simple amenities. A desk with a lamp on it, a simple chair, a plain looking wardrobe and a small sink and toilet. Everything in the room has very drab gray and white coloring. Everything besides a large bright blue poster taking up most of the wall opposite your pod. The poster has an image of a happy family living underground, with destruction pictured above. It reads “Safety within these walls”.
